VERSE NO. 32-37
The above passage includes various oaths to put stress upon the coming of the Resurrection Day and Final Judgement.
The oaths in Quran are also reasons and evidences to prove a matter which is the object of the swear. Here, the moon which was worshipped as a God, in the Pagan Era and time of darkness, has been sworn by, for a solemn emphasis. So, in the night in which every moving creature sleeps or rests, as if death has taken every movement over! Then the oath is by morning and sun rise, through which all the creatures including Man wake up, and begin to move to and fro, and here and there! And what a similarity to the promised Resurrection Day! These are all evidences that there shall be a hereafter, and also a resurrection to be called; ``THE GREAT''.
The swaer by the moon is very important because the moon is one of the great and and striking signs of God.
At the absence of the sun, she catches the sun beams, and reflects them to us so beautifully! In addition to the light received directly from the sun, the moon also is illuminated by sunlight reflected from the earth, which increases the moon's beauty.
Besides all the beauties; the moon's cycle of phases from new to full, and back to new again during the lunar month, serves as a precise calendar to Man. After all, the moon has interested man since ancient time. The belief that moon and other planets influence human destiny is a very old topic and subject of astrology.
The verse No. 36:-``It ia a warning for Man.'' implies that the object of the Hell's creation is not vegenance. It is a warning to Man, in order to put his conducts aright, and to behave properly.
