BELIEVERS IN THE HUMAN BURNING FURNACES!
VERSES NO.4-9
This group of tormentors had prepared big trenches of fire and made believers to desist their faith. If they resisted, they cast them into human burning furnaces and burned them! Their guilt was just belief in Allah, the Mighty, the Worthy of all Praises, the Owner of the heavens and the Knower of all things!

WHO WERE THE MAKERS OF THE PIT?
It is common and popular that the story backs to Zonoath, the last king of Hemyar (one of the famous tribes of Yemen).
He was the last one of Hemyar who converted to Judaism, and his tribe too followed him. He changed his name to Joseph. Then, he was informed that a group of people in Najran are still Christian. He departed towards Najran to make them to convert to Judaism. But they did not accept and resisted.
He instructed to prepare a pit of fire. A group of people were cast into the pit alive to be burnt and some were killed and cut into pieces by sword.
Some have added that one of the Christians of Najran escaped to Rome and went to the court of Caesar and complained about Zonoath, and asked for help.
Caesar told him that your territory is far from us, but I will write a letter to the king of Ethiopia who is a Christian and your neighbor. Negus was affected after hearing the story and decided to take revenge for the martyrs.
The host of Ethiopia raided towards Yemen and defeated the corps of Zonoath and killed many of them. Soon, Yemen was occupied by Negus and it became one of the states of Ethiopia.
