THE FIRST MESSAGE OF NOAH
VERSE NO. 1-4
The story of Noah has been related in many places in Quran, each one from a different angle, and point of view. Here, the reference is to his position among his people; and their reaction to Noah's call:-
``We sent Noah to his people to warn them, before a painful punishment could touch them.''
Noah's people had completely abandoned the Moral Principles, and were not willing to return and amend. When so, God drowned them all, in order to make a new starting point in the history of Mankind:-
``I swear by the Lord of the East and the West, that, We are able to substitute them with better ones, and We never fail- S-70:40''
If Noah's people had not rejected him, at least most of them would have obtained God's forgiveness.
A remarkable point in the above verses to note, is that our sins can shorten our life.
