Quran,Translation and Commentary in Brief (Vol. 06)
Verses 1-3Verses 1-5

WHEN THE FINAL VICTORY COMES!
VERSES NO. 1-3
It is true that for overcoming the enemy, one shall make necessary provisions, but a monotheist always believes that victory belongs to God.
This is the reason why he does pride himself. Rather, he pays gratitude to God.
First, the sura refers to the divine succour, victory and then, spread of Islam and people entering the religion of Allah in groups. These three items are a series of causes and effects. Victory is not possible in absence of divine succour and the people do not convert to Islam in groups in absence of victory. Obviously, these three steps shall be followed with the fourth, that is, gratitude and thanksgiving to God.
The great victory caused people not to think that God leaves alone His friends and come to know that God is Able for fulfillment of His promises.

Conquest of Mecca, the Greatest Victory of Islam!
Conquest of Mecca opened a new chapter in the history of Islam, when the Moslems overwhelmed the adversaries' resistance after about twenty years. In fact, conquest of Mecca abolished polytheism and idolatry in the Saudi Arabia and Islam became ready for spreading to other countries.
