SOME OF THE REWARDS FOR THE RIGHTEOUS
VERSE NO. 31-37
Among the rewards of the righteous believers are their salvation, and fulfilment of the highest in human nature, which brings the pleasure of their Merciful Lord:-
``Verily, for the pious there is a great prosperity.''
The Arabic word, ``MAFAZ'' translated to prosperity has several shades of meaning such as great attainment, salvation, supreme achivement, satisfaction of heart, reaching goodness, obtaining felicity with safety and health, victory and etc.
For the next reward of them, the green and fruitful garden has been mentioned, which has been adopted by QurÌn as the symbol of bliss.
Among the fruits that are found in the garden, the stress has been put upon the grape, which yields wine, that,in Islamic gnosticism is the symbol of Divine Love.
Besides that, the grape like the mother's milk, is one of the best nutriments. The heat energy and calory that grape creates in the Man's body, is twice that much that meat can generate. It also has an antipoison characteristic.
Then, the reference is to the spouses in the Paradise. The beautiful virgins with freshness of youth that is the symbol of purity, loyalty, grace, beauty and innocence:-
``And maidens with freshness of youth and equal in age.''
The Arabic word,``KA WA EB''is the plural for``KA EB''and alludes to a young virgin that her breasts have just reached a stage of making a show.
All these are among the gifts of the Merciful Lord of the heavens and earth, and whatever is between them.
