THE PAINFUL PUNISHMENTS OF THE COMPANIONS OF LEFT.
VERSE NO.41-50
The above passage consists of a parallelism in contrast between the companions of Bliss in the right hand, and the companions of Misery at the left:-
``And the companions of the left hand. What a wretched are the companions of the left, whose sinful records of deeds are put in their left hand.''
Then three kinds of their painful punishments have been mentioned, as follows:-
They will have to live amid burning winds and boiling waters, to inhale this and drink that! They will have to repose in a shadow of hot dense black smoke, instead of the shade of thornless lotus-tree, and the sweet smelling Talh-tree by the waterfalls.
From the above mentioned punishments we may guess how dreadful the other punishments of the Hell can be! What for are they tortured so badly?
The answer is in their sinful black list of records, which is full of Major and Heinous sins. These black points are not rare or few, but are too much because of their persistence on doing hatefully odious deeds?
The cause of persisting on such heinous deeds was having no faith in the Hereafter and God's Final Judgement.
When they were warned and asked to stop their evil conducts, they said:-
``Who has come back from the other world to bring the news? When we are turned to bones and dusts after our death, do we raise up once again to life? Who can do that for us? Have any of our fathers of old ever returned?
Of course, there are many reasonable answers to their questions above, but when someone does not want to admit,no one can help. A good answer is:-
He who creates something or someone, can create the same thing once again, and this time much easier:-``Yes! You will be brought together-all of you for the appointment of a well known day.'' You; as well as your fathers of old, even if they have been bones or dusts. He who created them first, can recreate them.
