verses 33-40 verses 41-46

LOT'S PEOPLE WERE AFFLICITED WITH A WORSE CALAMITY
VERSE NO. 33-40
Then a brief reference is made to the sinister fate of the people of Lot who had taken the way of unfortunate disbelievers:-
``The people of Lot too belied the warning''
So they were punished with a violent windstorm, which brought on them a shower of brimstone and gravel, which buried them alive.
Those sinful creatures did not stop with their faithlessness and doubt, and passed over the bounds of shame and heinuous sins!
The turning point of their destiny came when the angel came to Lot in the guise of handsome young men. Then the town's men who were homosexuals assaulted the prophet's house, and tried to snatch away the handsome angelic men! Lot tried to prevent them, but found himself powerless:-
``And they even solicited of him his guests, but We blinded them.''
The prelude of God's punishment appeared with a severe darkness that fell on their eyes and blinded the intruders.
In the next morning, the principle punishment stroke down the wicked people, by a windstorm with a harsh showering brimstone, and destroyed them all. At dawn, before the same morning, the believing household of the prophet, had been taken out of the cursed cities in the Plain.
