Quran,Translation and Commentary in Brief (Vol. 06)
Verses 12-14Verses 15-18

IS NOT THE CREATOR AWARE OF CREATURES?
VERSE NO. 12-14
Now, the argument is on the real believers, and their salvation and great reward:-
``Those who fear their Lord when they are not seen, for them is forgiveness, and a great reward.''
To fear God in absence, may refer to knowledge of the unseen God, or to the unseen resurrection Day, or even when they are doing something in concealment; because the next verse implies that Allah hears what we say, whether lowly or loudly. Then the argument ends in an interrogative phrase; asking:-
``Is not the Creator aware of what He creates?''
Fear of God without being seen by any one, results in doing good deeds. Such deeds are outcome of a tender love for God. The love is so intensive that the lover is afraid to do something against the Will of God.
In this state, he always feels to be standing in the presence of his Lord, Who is nearer to him than his own jugular vein. The lover also does not care if his deeds are appreciated by other people or not as long as he is with his Lord Who sees whatever he does. In other word, He Who has created him, must necessarily know all his inner and outer movements.
