LOOK AT THE BIRDS ABOVE YOU
VERSE NO. 19-21
God's Infinite Power is brought into view here by the mention of one of His small creatures-the birds:-
``Do they not observe the birds above them, spreading and contracting their wings? No one holds them up there except the Merciful Who is seeing everything.''
These relatively heavy bodies get up easily neutralize the power of attracting gravity, and move upward as far as it is safe for them! They continue their swift flight for hours, days or even weeks, without being frustrated! Sometimes they spread their wings, and sometimes fold or contract, and many a time they continuously flap their wings without being tired. They dive and soar in the ocean of air, and sometimes hover and hang fluttering up there!
Glory be to the Infinite power and knowledge of God, of which only a little has been applied to the creation of birds.
The science of aeronautics which is applied to the flight of birds, is one of the most wonders of nature. The make and models of their feather and bones, their whole body and shape, and its various abilities and senses and whatever of parts they have; each one tends to fulfill a conscious purpose of designs for serving a useful function. They easily outstretch or fold their wings. They can easily go downward or move upward; or even hold themselves steady in the sky and overcome the pull of gravity.
Who can have such a minute knowledge of aeronautics except the All-knowing Creator of universe whose infinite mercy provides for every creature whatever is the best adaption for its life.
God has given to His creatures all the necessities for the sustenance and development of their physical and spiritual lifef, in all phases. If He withhold his favour or Mercy, no being can help it apart from Him.
