SO MUCH LESSONS IN THE HISTORY
VERSE NO.38-46
Here a brief reference is made to the fate of a few of the past sinful generations who were destroyed for sinning:-
``There are signs in the story of Moses, when we sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority''.
Clear authority here may mean obvious evidences, like reasoning or showing miracles.
Here in this passage a few points about Moses and Pharaoh have been made clear:-
-Moses had a clear authority and provable permission from God to warn Pharaoh, but he stubbornly rejected .
-Pharaoh rejected Moses and relied upon his hosts and dignitaries in his court and perished, because they were not of any help when God's decree was issued.
-The non-believing Egyptians were destroyed with their king all together. Pharaoh was blameworthy for misleading his own people.
God gave Pharaoh and his people several chances to prosper, but they wittingly lost all the occasions due to their arrogance and pride. They eventually accused the Arch Prophet of God of being a sorcerer and mad! When so :-
``God seized him and his host, and cast them all into the sea while he was blameworthy.''
Then the reference is to the tornado or a violent wind which revolved beneath some rainless threatening clouds, and overwhelmed the sinful people of Ad, within a couple of hours!:-
``The wind left nothing behind unless turned it to something like rotten bones.''
Ad were a gifted and prosperous people, but they became ungrateful and defied God. So they lost their lives and all their properties by a wind which at first they thought it as the glad-tiding of a graceful rain fall. Then by God's wisdom and providence, the good people were saved and evils were destroyed.
Then there comes the turn of Thamud; when it was said to them enjoy yourselves for three days.
They did not cease disobeying the commands of their Lord-their prophet, SALIH , who gave them an ultimatum of three days in order to repent and return, but they rejected the issue; and obstinately hamstrung the she-camel which was made a symbol of the grazing rights of the common people, and a mark of their submission.
Then an earthquake buried them alive in a few minutes, and nothing was left of them to move.
