Quran,Translation and Commentary in Brief (Vol. 06)
Verses 41-50Verses 1-5

IN WHAT BOOK AFTER QURAN WILL YOU BELIEVE?!
VERSE NO. 41-50
Following the awful end of the sinners and disbelievers, here the reference is to the destiny of the believers with a good conduct:-
``Those who avoid evil, shall live amid the agreeable shades, springs and all kinds of fruits that they desire it.''
The next verse, puts the stress on the matter that, God is very serious on His promises to the believers:
``And so do We recompense the good doers.''
Worthy of note that; in the first verse the emphasis is on the piety and avoiding evil, but in the next (No. 44) the weight of expression is on good deeds. Piety is to avoid all kinds of bad deeds and good conduct is doing anything which is good and useful.
Then the next verse (No. 48) implies that the unbelievers are so puffed up with vanity and pride that when they are told to prostrate themselves before God, or to bow down, they refuse! They are the rebels against God's Law, Social Laws, and even against the Laws of their own nature! So woe on the Day of Doom to them, for denying the truth.
