Quran,Translation and Commentary in Brief (Vol. 06)
Verses 31-40Verses 1-4

HE WHO CREATED MAN OF A SPERM DROP.
VERSE NO.31-40
The argument follows up the matter of death which is the beginning of Hereafter, and then the final judgement and Man's destiny and destination:-
``The rejector of resurrection never believes in God; and will not testify His signs. He has chosen the way of denial and disobedience, and is therefore condemned by the Law of God, which is no more than the Law of his own nature.
The charge against the condemned who is the theme of the above verses are as follows:-
1-Neglecting the prayers.
2-Neglecting the charity.
3-Speaking with pride and in vanity.
4-Denying the final judgement, and behaving as if no one will question him for his conducts.
The root of all the weak points and evil deeds lay in arrogance and pride.
Then, it refers to the beginning of Man's creation which in its best, he was a sperm drop ejected. After that, it was turned to a blood-clot then created and shaped properly. Finally, he was a man or a woman.
Man's lowly animal original, makes him no higher than a beast. Then God's Divine Spirit was blown in him, and he was shaped in due proportion for his higher position as the vicegerent of God upon the globe-a globe more or less, the like of which exists in uncountable number.
Although we are created as men and women, we are all living souls, and should not rely on our physical body which is an instrument in our hand of power.
The Arabic ``SODAN'' translated to ``IN VAIN'' has several shades of meanings, such as:-
Free to do what he likes. Not accountable for his actions, uncontrolled and without any moral responsibility.
