verses 2-3verse 4

RESULTS OF THE EVIDENT VICTORY
VERSE NO.2-3
The above verses point at four of the good results that were obtained from the peace treaty of Hodaybeyeh. God's forgiveness was to rectify the past faults that were related to the prophet.
Also the free scope which was created by the treaty; future mistakes too, would be prevented, because the treaty recognized the dignity and position of prophethood, and equal power and rights of Muslims and their new spiritual movement.
The fourth advantage was a new and straight way that would lead Islam to other major and important victories. Now, there comes the question that, if the prophet is innocent and infallible, what does his faults or sins of future may mean, that God intended to forgive and prevent?
To answer this, we say what a sin could be greater in the sight of an idolater than that the prophet and his followers ridiculed idolatry and despised idolaters. Whenever a new movement, right or wrong fails, all the faults will be imparted to the defeated side, and every right is reserved for the victorious. Soon after the peace treaty, the great victories of Islam commenced, and the pagans began to accept that the fault was on their side. After all; every man according to his spiritual ability falls to some extent short of the perfect standards of God. There is a saying that the merits and good deeds of the virtuous may be considered a sin for the nearers to God.
