THIS IS A NOTICE, AND YOURS IS A CHOICE
VERSE NO. 27-31
In the previous verses, the prophet was warned of the sinful non-believers.
Here in the above passage, they are introduced to the prophet:-``Verily, they love this fleeting life, and will leave behind them a very heavy hard Day.
As to the fleeting life, the general reference is to the unbelievers of all ages. They deny the permanent life to come and adhere to the passive pleasures of this material world. Here, they misuse their power and opportunities and care not about God's loving care!
True that God's gifts seem to be free of charge. But they are all the TRUSTS OF GOD wit h us,and we shall be called to answer for the trusts.
The trust of God was offered to the skies and to the mountains, but they trembled with fear and refused to carry it. Man arrogantly accepted the trust, and now has to answer for it, in a hard day of justice and judgement. Man, in himself is very weak, and has to seek God's help and Mercy continuously. Finally, the whole argument is summed up thus:-
``Verily, this is a warning. Then he who wills may take a way to his Lord.'' 
God's duty is to guide, and Man's duty is to follow the guidance, and the result is Man's salvation and eternal prosperity.
