THE TERRIBLE EVENT!
VERSES NO.1-11
Many commentators believe that, the Arabic term Al-Qare'h translated to The Calamity is one of the names of Day of Resurrection, but it is not well clarified if the term refers to the events before Resurrection when the world is vanquished, or the second step, that is, when the dead are revived.
The term terrible implies that all are frightened and terrified on the Day.
On that Day, people throw themselves into the fire of hell as the moths usually do. On that Day, the mountains move, squash and finally change into a dust in the sky. Here, they are resembled to the carded colored wool!
On that Day, the people are divided into two groups after resurrection and revival. Those, whose measure of good deeds is heavy, will have a pleasant life.
We read in a narration from Imam Sadiq (AS) when he was asked about the concept of measure, and he replied: The measure of evaluation is Justice.
We read in another narration: Amiralmomenin and Imams are the measures for evaluation. In this way, the saints or the rules of divine justice are the measures based on which the men and their deeds are evaluated. The more their deeds would be similar to them, their measure would be heavier.
On the other hand, those, whose measure of good deeds is light, would not have any shelter and refuge save the hell.
