Verses 19-22Verses 24- 26

IDOLS ARE THE FORGERIES OF YOUR CAPRICES
VERSE NO.19-23
After a mention of the high heavens, and the ascension of the prophet, the superstitious motives of the Pagan Arabs have been derided, and ironically despised:-
``Have you seen your goddesses whom you have named as LÌt-ManÌat and OzzÌ? What are they except some names void of meaning that you and your fathers have invented?''
The three principles idols of Pagan Arabs were goddesses namely LÌt, ManÌt and OzzÌ, which represented God in female form.
When we consider how the Arabs despised female sex, so much that they many a time buried their little daughters alive! How degrading is to represent the creator of universe in female shape or ascribing daughters to him:-
``Are for you the males and for God females? If so, that is an unjust division.''
