ARE YOU BETTER THAN THE PAST GENERATIONS?
VERSE NO.41-46
``And verily there came the warning to the folk of Pharaoh, but they belied all our signs.''
The last example of inquity and wickedness mentioned in this chapter, are the folk of Pharaoh who had taken the Egyptian people in their power.
By the ``FOLK'' of Pharaoh, his household and courtiers alone is not meant. It may include all those Egyptians who followed and obeyed him.
Moses was assigned by God to convey Allah's Message. Meanwhile, the Arch Prophet had several miracles and clear signs from his Lord to prove his truthfulness.
Pharaoh and his folk arrogantly followed a debasing form of worship of taking idols and even their king for a god. Therefore, when Moses showed them the right way of God, they took him for mockery and belied him and ascribed his wonderful miracles to sorcery.
According to QurÌn and the scriptures, Moses brought to Pharaoh and his folk, nine different miracles, among which were; the Snake-the Pass over-the twelve Spring-Manna and Quails-and etc.
When all the hopes for their guidance were lost, a hint from the Lord God of Moses and Aaron was issued, and Pharaoh and his hosts were drowned in the Nile! Then after a while his foul carcass was made to float on the top of the sea, for those who could take a lesson from it!
