Quran,Translation and Commentary in Brief (Vol. 06)
verses 33-35verses 1-3

BE PATIENT LIKE THE ARCH PROPHETS
VERSE NO.33-35
The ending verses of this chapter refer to the Resurrection Day:-
``Do they not see that; Allah who created the heavens and earth without any fatigue, is able to raise up the dead?''
The creation of heavens and earth with the various beings in them, are all the signs of God's power, showing that He is able to do whatever He will. He who wonders in it, without feeling any weariness in preserving and controlling them, can easily renew the life or raise up the dead.
In the next verse (NO.34) mention is made of the painful punishment which awaits the unbelievers:-
``The Day when unbelievers are exposed to the Fire, it will be said to them:- ``Is this not true? And they will say:- ``YES! By our Lord its true''. So they will have to taste the fruit of their evil deeds.
If now our faults render our minds and eyes ineffective and weak sighted so that we deny the truth, the case is different in the Resurrection Day. In that Day, the truth will shine clearly enough that everyone can see and feel it, and such is the case with falsehood too, in which lays a terrible torment.
In the last verse, the prophet is instructed to stand patient and resolute, and do not seek to hasten his own success or his enemies failure or punishment. The success and penalty that God has promised is inevitable and bound to come. It may come out of a sudden, as if there had been no delay in it even for an hour of a day.

WHO WERE THE ARCH PROPHETS?
A certain group from among all the prophets who have been sent to mankind with Scripture and Divine Law are known as the Arch Prophets. There are five of them namely: NOAH, ABRAHAM, MOSES, JESUS, and MOHAMMAD, peace be on them all.
These five Arch Prophets have been sent with the Law and Divine Books. All of them have preached the unity of God and the Day of Final Judgement in the life to come. There is no difference in their school of teaching and mission. They may have used different literature in their saying, but all of them have said the same thing in various forms. This matter has been clearly confirmed in Quran; in S42:13 as follows:-

``He has ordained for you a religion that was enjoined on Noah, and that which We have sent by inspiration to you, and that which We enjoined on Abraham, Moses and Jesus. It was to keep on with the said religion, and cause not schism in it. Great is that to which you call the polytheists. Allah elects to Himself whom He will, and He guides to Himself those who turn to Him.''
