ALLAH SENDS TRANQUILLITY
VERSE NO.4
Besides the valuable peace treaty of Hodaybeyeh which was all to the benefit of Moslims, God's spiritual host in the form of tranquility came down and encamped in the hearts of the believers in order to increase their faith. To know the importance of such a tranquility and comfort of mind, let us once again cast a glance at the site of Hudaybeyeh and see that Quraish, full armed, came out of their sacred town and threatened the 1500 Muslims who were unarmed and in their, garbs for the ceremony of HAJJ.
Although Moslims were unarmed, but they had been good veterans with long experience and practice in warfare and military services. They were all full of anger for being prevented to go to their home town and perform the rites of Haj. The conflict was very serious and every now and then could lead to a fight. Here was when God sent down tranquillity into the hearts of the believers, and rendered them relaxed, and increased their faith in God. They came to know that in any case the good end was theirs.
It was also a sign for them from their Merciful Lord that their cruel stubborn old enemies, had actually come out to negotiate with them, and this matter could also serve to confirm their hearts, and increase their faith.
A believer in hazards does not see himself alone. He has a Merciful Lord-a Compassionate Master, who cares for him, and is watching from the above of the horizon. So the believers fear no one except their sins, which can keep them away from their Lord. A believer is decisive in spite of all blames and reproaches, and when he loses something valuable gives no way to sorrow, for being sure that his Lord will recompense his loss.
