Quran,Translation and Commentary in Brief (Vol. 06)
Verses 11-19Verse 20

LEAVE THE ACCOUNT OF SINNERS TO ME
VERSE NO. 11-19
The above passage has kept the sinful unbelievers under a shower of threats and harsh promises:-
``Leave Me alone with the owners of the good things of this material and fleeting life, who blie the truth. Give them a little respite and I will decide on the evil fate that awaits them as the consequence of their evil deeds.''
These promises came to pass through the battles of Badr, Honine and confederates.
Sinful deeds will change the nature of man and like a fetter will confine his spiritual liberty. Then, instead of being thankful to God for the material and spiritual bounties that has bestowed on him, he takes the position of God's enemies. So, what can such a fool incur, except the wrath of Allah, which is indeed very painful. This is because the fruit of sin can be nothing but pain, agony and burning internally or externally:-
``We do have the shackles and the blazing fire with us, and also the choking food, followed by a painful punishment.''
The above verses imply that four kinds of dreadful punishment awaits the sinful unbelievers namely:-
1-The Blazing Fire of Hell.
2-Rough and choking food.
3-Various kinds of painful punishments.
4-Fetters and shackles to chain their hands and feet.
As a matter of fact, the above punishments are the opposite and the outcome of the following sinful enjoyments, that there is a reaction for every action. They sinfully enjoyed:-
1-Unlimited freedom.
2-Many kinds of unlawful enjoyments.
3-Delicious and wholesome foods, with forbidden drinks.
4-All kinds of comfort and easiness.
