YOU ARE UNDER OUR LOVING PROTECTION
VERSE NO.44-49
This verse uncovers the obstinacy of the heathens by saying:-
``If they see a piece of sky (a meteor) falling down as a Divine Punishment, they will say it is heaped up clouds. Being so stubborn as to deny the material facts by likening the meteors to clouds, their position against spiritual facts is evident.''
The darkness of sin will cover the sight so that drives Man to deny perceptible facts so much so that there remains no room for his guidance.
The above verse (No.44) reminds us of the verse (No. S26:187) that the people of AIKAT who accused their prophet Shoaib of being mad and bewitched. They told him you are nothing more than a mortal man similar to us !Then when Shoaib threatened them by God's punishment to fall on them from the sky, they stubbornly said to their prophet:-``If you are not a liar, then drop down upon us a piece of the sky!''
Here we find an answer for that challenge which is addressed to all men of God, namely:-
``If a piece of the sky was to fall on them they would not be convinced and would say:-``These are only clouds that are heaped up.''They say so, because they are not willing to believe at all. They rather wish to be free in all respects.
Then the prophet is instructed to leave them alone for their death to come:-
``Then leave them until they encounter their day wherein they shall swoon thunderstruck.(i.e.to die)''
In the next verse, the prophet is exhorted to be patient and wait because you are in Our sight; and Our loving care will protect you from their harms, accusations and denial.
This means that a man of God must strive in the way of God without waiting for the results. He must never forget that God will not forget him. He is constantly under the eyes of God who takes care of him and protects him. What an honour is better for the man of God, than being the standard bearer of truth.
