TERMS OF DIVORCE
VERSE NO. 1
The theme of this chapter is ``DIVORCE'', and eventual separation of the spouses.
Although, the prophet is addressed in the above verse; but the verb divorce being used with plural pronoun, ``YOU'', the actual direction is to the whole omma``COMMUNITY'' in general.
Five rules have been issued here to control and conduct the safe separation of the spouses.
The first rule of divorce here is to be performed by the end of woman's PERIOD.
``IDDAT'', translated to ``PERIOD'' is a technical term in divorce law, which is the time when the woman has been cleaned of her menstruation, and that she has not yet made love with her husband.
The second rule of divorce is to observe the said Period, which means the days should be counted by the husband and kept in the mind accurately.
Then, the third and the forth are issued; one for the husband to observe who should not expel his wife from her home until she is perfectly, and according to God's law given a divorce.
The forth rule falls among the obligations of the wife, who should not leave her husband's house during her period.
The fifth rule is based upon an exception for the wife to be expelled, and it is when she has committed an open and proven indecency.

DIVORCE IS THE MOST HATEFUL AMONG THE LAWFULS!
Among the lawful acts of a Moslim;divorce is the most hateful one in the sight of Islam!
The ties of marriage should always be kept sacred, but if a divorce becomes inevitable, all the precautionary actions are to be observed to ensure justice, and to protect the rights of the weaker party; and in particular the unborn or new-born child. None of the couple should insist to close the door of reconciliation if possible. Both of the spouses, for their own good should obey the laws of Allah.
