SATANIC WHISPERING
VERSE NO. 8-10
The argument is still about the Satanic whispering that were forbidden, but the hypocrites and non-believers continued with their secret and sinful intrigues.
When the newly born community of Moslims gained power the enemies and in particular the hypocrites resorted to duplicity and secret intrigues and hence there was much forbidden whisperings.
Another sinful trick of the hypocrites who were taught by the learned Jews, was their salutation and greeting to the prophet and his companions:-
``And when they come to you they salute you with a word that Allah does not greet you so.''
The saluation that God enjoined for the prophet and all Moslims was, ``SALAM'' which is wish for a peaceful and healthy life. The enemies and particularly the Jews twisted the words and pronounced not the, ``L'' in the salÌm, by saying: ``SAM''on you; and it meant down with you! In the above verse, Allah revealed the ill will of the Jews and thereafter when a Jew said to the prophet, ``SAM'' on you; and it meant down with you! The prophet answered, ``ON YOU''.
