DO NOT FORGET YOUR LORD
VERSE NO. 9-11
The tender love for this material world and in particular our love for children and wealth; will make us to forget our Lord and pay no heed to His remembrance. This will end in losing both our capital and gain in spiritual world. True that wealth and children are among the Graces of God, but excess of love and extraordinary care for it may turn to a calamity and becoming far from salvation. Children are causes of trouble and trial.On the other hand,wealth is a heavy burden of fleeting loads of enjoyments. A man of God should always be careful that these two sources of troubles make him not so busy, as to keep aloof from the remembrance of God and his due prayers.
Following the above warning,Allah has instructed the believers, saying:-
``Spend in charity out of the sustenance which We have given you; before the death should come to one of you, and say:-``My Lord!Why did you not give me enough respite, to spend in charity,and become righteous.''
Although death opens a gateway to a new kind of life; it will also give an end to our works and endeavours down here, through which we may earn virtue and salvation. Here, we waste and destroy our golden hours, with the 60 diamond minutes that exist around it, without earning any thing important in return. Therefore, every beat of a heart and every moment of our life here calls urgently for its good deed.
