THE MOST IMPORTANT NEWS
VERSE NO. 1-5
The commentators of Quran are at variance about what the Great and important News might be. Some have understood it to be the Resurrection Day. Others have known it to be the Glorious QurÌn. Even some expounders have taken it to refer to the guardianship and vicegerency of Hazrat Imam Ali(AS). But with goinng a little deeper to the next verses of this chapter (S-78), we conclude that Resurrection Day is meant here. Therefore, by the great and important News, most probably the Resurrection and the life to come is meant, about which there are various schools of thought among the followers of all great religions.
This idea of the life to come and most of them believed in duration and eternity of the soul of Man.
Anyhow; almost all the Arabs, whether a believer or a non-believer, they frequently questioned the prophet about the quality and the time of Resurrection Day.

RESURRECTION IN OLD TESTAMENT
In the O.T., the story of the valley of dry bones in EZEKIEL 37:1-14--ASAIAH 26:19--ZEPHANIAH 1:2-17 and MALACHI 4:1-3- the great event of Resurrection Day has been described with another kind of literature.
