Verses 5-8Verses 9-11

A BEAST LADEN WITH BOOKS
VERSE NO.5-8
Here is an expressive example that applies to a learned; void of practice and performance:-
``Those to whom TORAH was given, but they paid no heed to its meaning, they are like a beast laden with books.''
They do have the heavy responsibility of their knowledge but care not to use it, and therefore their knowledge profit them nothing.
This example applies well to the children of Israel, who were chosen to carry and convey God's Message. They then corrupted the Message, and wittingly perverted God's revelation so as to comply with their caprices! They also were guilty of maltreating the Arch prophet of God Jesus Christ, and were indeed similar to a donkey who is carrying Scriptures full of knowledge and wisdom, but cannot understand or profit aught of it.
This is an admonition to the Israelites, and a warning to the Moslims, lest they take Quran, faith and the Law for a play-toy as the Jews did so.
A group of the Jews who are seriously racial are of opinion that they are the elects of God and the exclusive possessors of Divine teachings. Some of them even call themselves the sons of God, or the intimate friends of Him. They believe that they are exempt from punishments except for a few days. This is however not true because an intimate friend is eager to see his friend. Most probably death will drive us nearer to god by stripping off the veil of body from the soul:-
Say to the Jews:-``If you think that you alone are the friends of Allah apart from other people, then wish for death if you are truthfuls.''
But the jews have actually proved that they fear death, and love this material life more than any body else. In principle, fear of death is fear of being reduced to nothingness, which is the outcome of having no faith in the life to come. On the other hand, this life is a prison in the sight of a believer, or a cage, from which death releases him to fly into the Gardens of bliss and eternity.
