THE GREATEST OF WITNESSES

VERSE NO. 19

      A group of the idolaters in Mecca said to the prophet: ``What sort of an apostle are you that none of the learned, or people of the Scriptures, testify your mission or message!? We have asked all, about you. Nor the Jews attest your truthfulness, neither the Christians! Then show us some people of eminence and high ground who may bear witness and testify that you are right!''

      In answer to them, the prophet rehearsed the above verse (No. 19) that had already been revealed to him:

      ``Say; what thing counts the greatest in testimony? Then say; Allah is the witness between me and you. He has inspired this QURطN to me, in order to warn you by it.''

      The best reason to prove the prophet's truthfulness is QURطN the Glorious Book of Allah - a Book full of wisdom, a miracle by every word, unique in linguistic and eloquency, the best guidance to piety and prosperity, the cure of all the psychological diseases of man, which has been inspired to a man unlettered, grown among a nation of Pagan Era, far from progress and civilization! Such a Book which is impossible to be written by a man of any kind and any race, or by any rank and level of knowledge and wisdom, was revealed to Mohammad.S.A. in order to warn man: ``And This QURطN(which is a clear proof of my prophet hood) has been inspired to me to warn you by it.''

      The phrase; `and to whoever it may reach' implies that, Mohammad's mission was not limited to the territory of Arabs; but to all over the world and to all over the ages and generations to whoever his divine message may reach. Mohammad's mission is a universal one, and is not especialized to any race, group, or nation - It is valid for any language to which the Message has been translated and to any man or woman to whom it may reach.
