Verses 29-32Verses 33-34

VERSES NO. 29-32

This is another part of the sayings of the obstinate unbelievers who without any knowledge or even a little study and contemplation, utter with selfishness: ``There is nothing else, except our present life in this world, and we shall not be raised up again.''

If they would go only a little deeper into the matter, they could easily come to some understanding, that, grave and annihilation can not be the destination of such an amazing creature as man, who travels step by step in the course of development in his curious life:

``Until suddenly the hour comes to them and at once they find themselves standing exposed to the blazing fire of Hell! It then opens their eyes wider and extends their line of sight, and see themselves standing before their Lord! - Of course this does not mean that they will see our Lord physically in a place or upon a seat of judgement, or a throne of kingship.'' The phrase may rather mean they stand in a place wherein God punishes the wicked and the evil doers.

So also the phrase `MEETING OUR LORD' is not seeing Him with our sense of sight, but we may see him through our hearts and by the facts and truth of faith and religion, and also seeing various stages of His judgement and consequent punishments. Then it is as we would see our Lord physically.

By, `THE HOUR', Resurrection Day is wanted which will occur suddenly and at once, and no one knows its exact time of occurrance, except Allah.

In that hour the burden of sins that the wicked will carry is too heavy for him and very grievous.

The likening of the present life of this world to play and to amusement, is because such sports and pastimes are useless and vains, and they only serve to waste our time and life. Many a time it happens that children in their plays appoint one of their playmate as the king, the other as a judge, and the third one as a thief; but after a while when they leave their play field for home they see that they are neither a king, nor a judge or a theif! And so is the stage of a theater in which the actors are at war, or in love, or hateful with each other. When they leave the stage none of them is in war or in love with the others.

If we could only understand the condition of the life which has to come, we would take it as the real and true life, permanent and everlasting - A life in a wider and much more extensive world.
