VERSE NO. 80 - 81

The argument and disputes of ABRAHAM'S people with him are continued here. The verses imply that his people have been threatening him in their dispute with the anger of their idols, and were trying to frighten him with the dire consequences of his dissent and separation from their established religion of idolatry! But ABRAHAM did not care at all, because he had found the truth. So he said to them:

Do you dispute with me about Allah when He has guided me?!''

How do you expect me to fear your false gods, when I am sure that they can do neither harm nor profit - I have already found the true God, without whose will and aid nothing can happen to me:

``And how could I fear of what you have associated, seeing you do not fear that you associated partners with Allah, for which He has not given you any authority?''Therefore it is you godless idolaters and polytheists who have grounds to fear and not me! He then concludes the argument by raising a question:

Which one of the two parties (WE & YOU) deserves more to be secure and safe if you could but reflect.''
