IMAM ALI(AS), THE AARON OF MOHAMMAD S.A.

Almost all the historians, narrators and writers, be they a SONNI or a SHIITE, have reported of a tradition that when Mohammad S.A. left Medina for the expedition of TABOOK, he left Hazrat Imam Ali S.A. at home to take his place and act as his successor.

Hazrat Ali who was the bravest of the warriors and veterans among the armed forces of Allah, said to the prophet:

``Do you leave me in the town with the women and children!?''

The prophet said to him: ``O, Ali! Are you not pleased to act for me, as Aaron did for his brother Moses; with the exception that Aaron was also an apostle, but there is no apostle after me to come, because I am the seal of the prophets.''

Then Hazrat Ali stayed at Medina with pleasure, to do his duties that were consigned to him by the prophet. This is a famous tradition that has been narrated by almost all the important and famous writers, of whom we undermention some of them who are of the opposite Sonni sects:
