THE SATANIC TEMPTATION (VERSE NO. 199 - 203)

The conditions for a true leadership and management has been excellently cited here through the above verses. The attention of the prophet is firstly directed to three important moral precepts, that are vital for a rightful leader; namely:

1- FORGIVENESS, which is to show tolerance for a fault, annoyance, insult, and even persecution. A divine or religious leader should be able to take things easy, and give up the wish to punish and take vengeance. In particular, he should overlook and ignore lesser important errors and injuries.

2- The second precept is to enjoin whatever is good to do, in the sight of God and wisdom. Enjoining good and forbidding evil, should be actual and exist in the enjoiner's deeds and acts. What the leader forbids, he himself should avoid it, and what he enjoins, he should do it himself, in all his dealings with friends and foes.

3- And the third moral instruction, is not to pay attention to the ignorants who raise doubts, and create difficulites. They should be ignored and passed by, in order to stop their troubles and agitations among people, or causing anxiety, and keeping forces busy in fruitless disputes. This passing the ignorants by, is done as a preventive means, and precautionary measure. If the ignorants stand firm in opposition and cause severe troubles, the duty of the leader may change.

4- Then there comes a fourth instruction which is to cancel and neutralize Satanic Temptations. Even a man of God is a man; and is exposed to devil's attack. Satan may tempt and encourage him to do some harsh treatments, and go some steps beyond the extremes, and limits, that are settled morally in affairs; though it be extremes of patience, kindness, or forgiveness. All these, and more can be incited and induced by Satan to any one, and even to a man of God. When a godly finds himself assailed by Satanic temptation of any kind, he remembers his Lord, and knows that Allah is the sure refuge for the believers, and will soon open their eyes when they are confused and blinded. In contrary to the godly, the ungodlies who are called the brethren of Satan, will continue in their whirlpool of Satanic Temptations, and the evil forces always encourage them to go deeper into the mire of sin and destruction.

The above verses contain the most comprehensive moral precepts, and ethical instructions.
