CLOTHES IN THE PAST AND PRESENTVERSE NO. 28

 

VERSE NO. 27

      Through this verse, Allah gives a warning to all the children of Adam, in order to beware of Satan and protect themselves against his cunningness and deception. This is because, Satan by his fraud and deceit, may take out and strip their clothes of piety, as he stripped out the clothes of our first father:

      O, children of Adam! Let not Satan deceive you, as he brought your parent out of the garden.''

      In other word; Satan by his fraud and deceit, by his false oaths and lies, stripped Adam of his cloak of honour, and garment of innocence. In the present life too he will try by means of rank, wealth, power, sex, and caprices, to strip us of the raiment of piety and virtue.
