THE PAINFUL FATE OF LOT'S PEOPLE
VERSES NO. 80- 84
Here is another admonitory story of the apostle Lot and his people in brief, the detail of which can be read in other chapters of Quran such as; Hood - Sajar - Poets - Apostles - Ant and Spider.
The story of Lot is also narrated in the Bible; Gen 18 & 19. Lot was the nephew of Abraham and was sent as an apostle to warn the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah, who were doing shameful indecencies. Lot reproached and warned his people for being homosexuals, saying:
``Do you commit such an indecency that no one else in the world has done it before you!? you approach men in the lusts instead of women.''
What a degeneration can be worst than leaving the natural way of sexual intercourse which maintains mankind generation and becoming abnormal in this field?
The only answer that his people gave to the Messenger of God, was: ``Expel them from your town that they are a group of people who seek to keep clean!''
The phrase; `WHO SEEK TO KEEP CLEAN' is satirical and a sort of irony used to attack the believers and to accuse them of pretence.
They closed all the doors of arguments and reasoning about their shameful deeds due to their chronic arrogance and sheer obstinacy. Therefore they had reached their painful destination - a shower of the wrath of God in the form of brimstone rained upon them cats and dogs and smashed them and passed them over to the blazing Fire of Hell!!
So look you at the destiny of the sinners and take some lessons before it is too late!
It happened so that two angels in the shape of handsome young men came to Lot as his guests in the night; Some of the Sodomain rascals, in their lusts for pederasty invaded Lot's house but were scornfully repulsed.
In the morning by the instruction of the angels, Lot and those who were believers from among his family went out of the town, and then the Lord rained upon Sodom and Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the sky, and overthrew all the five towns which laid in the plain.
