VERSE NO. 98

The argument about the existence, and the oneness of God still continues; for the Holy Quran, takes the man for sometimes to study and investigate the outer world that surrounds him, and sometimes takes him to his inner self and world, in order to know something of the macrocosm and something about the microcosm.

Here attentions are to be paid to the creation of man:

``It is God, who originated you from a single person, settled and unsettled.''

This is to say: Man with so many variations and differences of shape, colour, language, talent, merits, feature and faces, and etc. have all been originated from one single person! This shows the extraordianry greatness of the Creator and His infinite knowledge and power.

The Arabic; `ANSHAA' means to originate something with nourishing, cherishing and developing it.

The Arabic, `MOSTAGHAR' means permanent, settled without departure, and`MOSTOWDIA' is its opposite word which may mean unsettled, moving, departing and leaving a place. Therefore, some commentators understand that by settled the man's soul is pointed at for having an eternal life and existence, and by unsettled the body is meant which has a temporary life here and eventually will vanish turning to its original particles and elements. Therefore in the sojourn of this life we must do our best to make full use of our faculties and abilities to get ready for living an eternal life in the hereafter.
