THE GREATEST OF WITNESSES VERSE NO. 19Verses 21-24

VERSE NO. 20

Though the Pagans said to the prophet that none of the people of the Book attest the truth of your mission, here the verse (No. 20) implies that:

``Those to whom We have given the Scriptures recognize the prophet Mohammad S.A. as they recognize their sons.''

But those who have lost themselves, and have sold their souls in the market of the material world to evil, will not believe. These sort of people who are drowned in the lagoon of arrogance and vanity, at least knew him to be the trustworthy; because they called him `AMIN' before his Divine Mission. They knew him to be upright and in the line of ABRAHAM. They also knew him to correspond to the description of the prophet foretold in their scripture and among themselves, but their selfishness made them to stand up against their own knowledge, and the inner voice of their conscience; and thus concealed and denied the truth.
