Verses 61-66Verses 67-69

Some of the polytheists had apprehended the truth of Islam, but abstained to acknowledge that, for fear of losing their position, and material advantages. So they did not emigrate in order to join the line of the believers in Medina. In fact they had Allah in the depth of their heart, and the idols on the tip of their tongue:-

``If you ask them who has created the heavens and the earth, and subjected the sun and the moon, they will say Allah.''

Any one with a sound and safe mind, when is asked:-

``Who has created you, or the heavens and the earth, or subjected the sun and the moon; with some contemplation will reach the conclusion, that it is Allah who....''

This is because, we may soon come to understand that, nothing can come out of nothingness. On the other hand we can easily see that we have not created ourselves or the world. The only answer is therefore, ``HE''. The Infinite power, knowledge, wisdom, intelligence, has created the world, Who is ever existing and Omnipresent, and cannot be defined by us substantially. He is Only He, and if you want, you may name Him Allah. In such critical definition we must beware, lest our imagination and false notions might delude us into disobedience of God's law and disregard of His Message, and Messenger.

In other word even the idolaters had no doubt about Allah; and when they were asked why do you then worship the idols they would say we worship them in order to take us nearer to God!

``Sincere devotion is due to Allah. Those who have taken protectors apart from Allah say:- ``We only worship them that they may bring us nearer to Allah. Allah will judge between them in what they differ, but Allah guides not he who is liar and ungrateful.''   QURÄNِS 39:3

Worshippers of idols and other kinds of false gods, claim that they may get them nearer to God, but they are wrong. They can do nothing; nor for themselves, and neither for their worshippers. How can a false god or an idol of any kind, bring us nearer to God, when there is no distance at all between the Creator and His creatures? Far or near has no meaning here.

Then emphasis has been put on the sustenance of servants, that comes all from God our true and real Sustainer. As far as a servant is working for the cause of his Lord, he should not fear losing his material benefits and wages that:-

``Allah expands the sustenance for anyone of His servants whom He will, and restricts and restrains it for whom He will.''

There are so many moving creatures that do not bear their sustenance, and Allah sustains them, and sustains me and you.
