Quran,Translation and Commentary in Brief (Vol. 05)
Verses 17-19Verses 20-22

In the above two verses four times are introduced which are very suitable for celebrating the praise of God and Glorifying Him, although the right deed is not to forget our Lord at all. These four times are as follows:-

1-At the beginning of the night

      2-At dawn in the morning.

      3-In the evening.

      4-And in the noon.

Some are of opinion that, the immediate reference of the above verses are the appointments for the daily prayersِThere are certain times in the cycle of day and night, in which the Daily Prayers that are incumbent upon a Moslem to be performed. Time keeping is a very important factor in the worship of our Lord. These times are as mentioned above; when we get up in the morning before the sun rise. When we are in the midst of our work at noon, when the sun begins to decline. When we go to rest at evening; And at the night fall, and when it is dark enough and the time to sleep.

Then once again in the third verse above (NO.19) reference is made to the Resurrection Day, and the life after death. Every day and every now and then we see with our eyes that from the lifeless matter, living creatures sprout up, and again the living creatures lie down, and turn to lifeless elements, and the cycle is going on and on! God creates from dead matter and material, living creatures, so wonderfully that even science has not yet found the laws and regulations that govern such strange phenomenon in which life is produced. In the same way our Lord turns and transforms the living creatures to non-living elements, and the cycle of life and death goes on.
