Verses 30-33Verses 34-35

The above passage implies that the people of Egypt were semi-educated, and were aware of the past history of their progenitors, and the painful fate they had. So the Believer in the court of Pharaoh severely resisted the suggestion of killing Moses, though the king insisted upon his assertion.

So the Believer appealed to their past history in order to convince the king to change his mind. He reminded them of the fate of the generations of Noah, Äd, and Thamood, and many others who were destroyed by the wrath of Allah after them.

He said to the king and his courtiers:- ``All these calamities have happened to them for their sins, and God did not oppress them the least. They prepared such disasters deliberately by their own wrongs, and sinful conducts, as you are doing now.''

He eventually warned and admonished them of the Day of Outcrying in which they would call for help and wail but no one can help another, even if he wants to help!
