Quran,Translation and Commentary in Brief (Vol. 05)
Verses 38-40Verses 41-46

In the fourth parth of his speech the Believer in the court expresses his feelings in another way, which is attracting the attentions towards the fleetness of the present life and the permanency of the life to come:-

``O, my people! Indeed the life of this world is some fleeting enjoyment which comes to an end very soon, and surely the life to come is the permanent abode for man to live.''

Suppose that with the means of plans and plots, or warfare and bloodshed, we become victorious; what then, when death catches our throat and casts us to another kind of life which is everlasting and with the wrath of our Creator!?

Here the most important matter is not the fleetness of this world, or the permanency of the next oneِthe main difficulty is with the rewards:- Whatever we do of evil deeds, will be recompensed with the like of it; and he who does a righteous deed on condition of being a believer, he will receive God's favour and Grace, out of accounts.

Now if we compare the utterance, and the words of the Believer of the court, with that of Pharaoh, we can easily distinguish between the place of arrogance and the position of faith and wisdom, and see clearly the contrast between the two classes of people; the Believer is seeking the good of people, but they seek the loss and ruins of the Believer.
