The Arab polytheists, besides their idolatries, were of opinion that the angels are the daughters of God. In order to remove this ugly thought, the above verse (NO.4) was revealed:-
``Had Allah willed to adopt a child, He could have chosen whatever He wanted from among the best of His creature;''
The Pagan Arabs used to look down upon a girl with disfavour and contempt, and yet connected the angels to God, as His daughters! At least it could be better, if they would mitigate a little, and consent with a god having sons instead of daughters!!
Glory be to Him. Holy is He, and far above whatever mankind may think of.
What a heinous lie is that to say; God begot a son or a daughter. If so, He should also have a wife, and His son should resemble to Him.
Does any one know the similarity of God so as to compare the son with father? A unique father who is the only one, and no one is like unto Him!?
God Has created everything and everyone, and He is high above all His creatures.
Such blasphamous thought that God may have a son or a daughter, is nothing except degrading Allah for want of a help or a hand in His work. Glory to Him.
He is far above such childish attributes and false conjectures. Such polytheists like a group or a sect that call themselves, ``Christians'' in fact measure other's corn with their own bushel! This is no better than the cow, which thinks his Creator has two long, sharp, and strong horns! God is mere and Absolute Existence, Pure goodness, and All-beauty, who has preceded non-existence and nothingness. An Omnipotent Being will never need the aid of His creatures to do some work.
After putting the stress on Monotheism and the Oneness of God, reference is made to the Infinite Power of the All-mighty God Who is the Subduer. He created the heavens and the earth rightly, which means with aim and object.
``He has subjected the sun and the moon so that each of them sails in their appointed orbits.''
What would happen to us, and to all the creatures, who live upon the earth; if the sun could leave his present orbit, and begin to sail in a new orbit, through which the earth would be some 200 K.m. nearer or farther to the sun? In that position, no living creature could endure, without being either roasted or frozen!
So is the case with the moon. Would it either loose or gain some distance from the earth, its gravity power would increase or decrease, causing a high-tide or a low-tide, and the creatures on the earth would either drown or dry!
Yes! It is the All-might, All-knowing, Merciful, Lord who cares for His servants and creatures that has subjected the sun and the moon, each of the planets move on, in their stated orbit and pathway, without the least amount of deviation.
