Quran,Translation and Commentary in Brief (Vol. 05)
Verses 81-83Verses 1-5

The proofs of resurrection are hare based upon God's Infinite power, by which He has created the heavens and earth:-

``Is not He who created the heavens and the earth able to create the like of them? (WHY NOT?) He is the All-knowing, All-mighty Creator.''

By, ``the like of them'', the man is implied. It may mean that God can give life again to a dead man as He gave him life for the first time.

To create a small insect, and the vast heavens, is the same and simple for God; for having infinite power and knowledge. He only intends something to be and it will immediately come to being. this is because Allah is He Who created the heavens and the earth and al the creatures that are in them, and only with one intention, or a saying, ``TO BE''! Why should we doubt then, to create the life of them is impossible or even difficult for Him. He who has created so a limitless universe, what sort of a difficulty can have to create the like of something which he has created before!?

For a creator, it is easier to create something that already has a material base, such as the bones or dusts, than creating something baseless.

As a matter of fact, to use the comparative suffixes, such as ER and EST, is wrong in the case of God; because nothing is difficult for Him to do at all. This is because Allah's creation does not depend on time, space, or tools, and means, whatsoever. All things have been created by God's intention and knowledge, and are maintained and looked after by Him. In other word, all affairs are linked up to His intention, judgement, and decree.

The core of all the revelations is the Oneness of God, and that Man has to answer for what he does and will have to taste the consequences of his deeds, bad or good. Therefore the resurrection of man after death is a matter inevitable and bound to happen. There are many clear reasons to prove that, some of which are as follows:-

1- If man had been created for annihilation, he should love it. But on contrary, he always escapes death, because he consideers it as some sort of a destruction and mortality.

2- Man did not exist at firstِhow can the All-knowing wise Creator bring to existence something that its position is to be non-existence, and does not already exist? creation for the purpose of destruction is unwise an act.

3- Man loves eternity and everlasting life. The Pyramids of Egypt and mummifications are reasons for this claim, among many other proofs.

If we feel to be thirsty, this is a reason that water does exist somewhere.

4- Nothing has been created in vain and without aim and object. For the creation of anything is accompanied with measure, plan, and knowledge. So, the grave cannot be the ultimate object and final goal of life and creation.

5- Our inner conscience is a proof that there is a higher and final judgement in a court of justice. Every soul is mentally disturbed when he does something evil or wrong, and is joyful and comfort when he does something good.

6- Faith in the resurrection and the life to come is the best preventive means of man's evil deeds.

7- If we consider this temporary life here all and the only life; life will prove to be futile, non-sense, and aimless! It then has no worth and value to be accepted in spite of all its tails and troubles. Why should we then live here for a while with so much hard works and unbearable burdens? What do we live for then?

Is all the creation, such as the heavens and earth, the teachings and learnings, and so much knowledge and so many books manuscripts and printed ones-just for the object of eating and sleep of man!? Are we really created for nothing and no purpose except to enjoy ourselves?

This world, and our present life can only be valid if we take it as a farmland, to sow the seed here, and to reap and harvest it elsewhere, in the next life or stage.

Some may think that the life to come is a duplicate of this present life, but more perfect. They are of course very wrong, because according to some Islamic narrations the life to come is very different from this here. There man will encounter with things that he has not seen before, he has never heard of it, and no mind has ever thought of it.

      This is why we read in Qurän S 32:17;

``No one knows what kind of amazing delights of the eyes (gifts and bliss), are kept hidden for them as a reward for their good deeds.''
