Verses 66-69Verses 70-73

What do the stubborn polytheists, and the shameless sinner can expect, other than punishment and agony? It overtakes them out of a sudden, for their persistence in guilty and evil conducts.

Here in this verse (NO.66) the Hour is the Resurrection Day; but its other shades of meaning are; the twenty-fourth part of a night and dayِa particular time or occasion- The Final Judgement of GodِMan's Deathِand also the end of this world.

The Hour of Judgement and also the hour of our death may come suddenly before we can realize that it has overtaken us! Then in that state of agony and affliction, no one can help us except our Merciful Lord. This is where we may come to know that most of our friends were in reality our foes who have helped to pervert us from the right way of truth, willingly or unwillingly. Every kind of friendship which is not for the sake of God, will eventually turn to some kind of enmity.

The next verse refers to the case of the believers who have done well. They will enjoy their new kind of life in Paradise, in which there are infinite blessings and bounties, that no ear has ever heard, no eyes yet seen, and no mind has been able to think of!

On the other hand, faith in God will give man such a firm support, that his soul will become free of all kinds of fear and grief, as regards the past, present, or future. What a result of our endeavours can be more valuable than that if we could only know?
