Verses 41-44Verses 45-47

Besides the above explained signs in the phenomena, like sun-moon-darkness, and brightness; there are many other signs, touching the life of man himself:-

``And it is a sign for them that We carried their offspring in the Ark; and We created for them the like of it to ride on.''

If we refer back to the story of the Flood, and the Ark which was constructed by Noah the Arch prophet of God, we come to know how the Ark was a means of rescue, and then the best of transports. The experience that man gained, made him able to construct stately ships to carry man and his heavy loads across the sea and ocean, from one country to another.

The ship full of passengers and goods that sail on the sea, cleaving the waves, to join countries together; is indeed a sign of God's Mercy and Grace.

Most probably the ship-building began with the Ark in the Flood and then:-

``We created for them the like of it.''

Nowadays very large vessels carry people and their huge amount of goods, by sea, and it seems to be the most secure way of transportation, and the best means for transactions.

The camel too, has been called the ship of desert by Arabs.

God Who has endowed man with knowledge and skill to construct such large vessels, Has not lost control over His creatures, even over the smallest of them. When He decides to drown a ship, or crash an airplane, due to man's wrong and evil deeds, there is no one to prevent Him, or to rescue the sailors. God orders a storm, an eddy current, or a whirpool, to drown the ship, and there can be no resistance to the decree issued. Many a time that there was an explosion in the engine of the vessel, and everything went either on the air, or at the bottom of the see, and no one could be of any use. When God's decree is issued nothing can stop Him except Himself and His Mercy, that may grant a limited respite for the time being, during which Man may amend and return.
