It is often conceived that it seems impossible for the physical and spiritual resurrection to take place simultaneously as believed by those who believe in physical resurrection. This is because there should be suitable physical and spiritual pain and pleasure for both while we find that if a person is lost in the spirituality of divinity then it is impossible for him to take to worldly pleasures . And if he indulges in physical pleasures then he will not pay heed to spirituality and its pleasures. In short both the resurrections being simultaneous seems contradictory and impossible.

Answer:

This seems to be a very objection because if the soul is powerful then it can delve in spirituality despite having enjoyed the physical pleasures. The respectable saints and the prophets are shining examples of this.

Allama Majlisi writes in Behar-ol-Anwar if paying heed to divinity and spirituality can stop a person from physical pleasure then the same should be true vice versa. The human soul is weak in this world but gains help from the spiritual and divine world after death and becomes so powerful that it can gather both at the same time. (1) This is akin to a proof but not a proof by itself.
