The Day they We shall seize them The Day which cannot be avertedThe Day they will be dragged in the Fire facedown

This des c r i p tion that has come only once in the Qura’n is terrifying and it draws the attention to the different problems of that Day. In verse 6 of Surah Qamar it is said:

“Withdraw from them. The Day that the caller will call them to a terrible thing.”

Who is the caller? The commentators have given several explanations. Is it God or His angel Jibril or Raphael who will herald the coming of the Day of Judgment by blowing the trumpet? The first interpretation seems plausible when we study the verse though the next verse is about the angels and those connected with the accounting of the deeds.

Verse 52 of Surah Bani Israel says:

“On the Day He will call you and you will answer”

Does this mean those terrifying punishments that are unknown to man or the minute accountings of the deeds which no one thought to be so or does it mean something else? Whatever be the case this is a problem that is terrifying, fearful and very painful.
