This name has also come only once in verse 39 of Surah Naba in the Qura’n. Speaking about the Day of Judgment it says:

“That is without doubt the True Day.”

Yes it is an undeniable truth a truth that gives a meaning to the creation of the entire universe and had the day not been there then there would have been no truth about this universe.

This world is nothing but a mirage; it is an illusion and not a truth, it is destruction and not well being, it is death and not life. The truth of its existence and life will be truthfully revealed on the Day of Judgment. In verse 64 of Surah Ankabut the Qura’n says:

“Verily the abode of the hereafter is the true life if you only know”

Some commentators have given three points to prove that this is the Day of Truth:

That day is the truth and the rest is irrelevant because the insignificance of the worldly day is more than its importance.

The Truth is proven to exist and this is why God is called “Haqq” because there is no inkling even of His death. It is the same on the Day of Judgment so it is Truth.

This is the day that can be called a Day because all the secrets will be revealed on that day while the secrets of the people of this world are hidden like the darkness of the night. (1)
