The Day they will hear the Shriek The Day when the lightning will roarA Day of fifty thousand years

This explanation has come four times in the Qura’n, Surahs Anam 73, Ta-Ha 102, Naml 87 and Naba 18.

In the first verse it says:

“His will be the dominion the Day the trumpet is blown”

In the second verse it says:

“The Day the trumpet will be blown, and We gather the guilty, the blear-eyed ones.”

The third verse says:

“And (Remember) the Day on which the trumpet will be blown; all who are in the heavens and the earth will be terrified except those whom God desires.”

The 4th verse says:

“The Day when the trumpet will be blown and you shall come forth in groups”

And as we will discuss the blowing of the trumpet the Qura’n tells us about twice when the trumpet will be blown.

All the living creatures will die after the first trumpet is blown.

The second trumpet is the sign of life and they will be alive again ready to counted and accounted. Most of the 4 verses are connected with the second and life giving trumpet of the Day of Judgment.

The des c r i p tion given by the Qura’n tells us about many other disasters that will take place in the beginning. These are very meaningful des c r i p tions that manifest and inform us about the horrifying disasters and events of the day in the heart.

“Soor” and “Nafakh” with their total meanings and specifics will be discussed later at the proper place Inshallah. We will study the Hadith of the Messenger to know what this explanation means and discusses. It is connected with the 18th verse of Surah Naba in which only one part of the events has been mentioned.

Ma’az bin Jabal says:

“I asked the Messenger about the meaning of “The Day the trumpet will be blown and you shall come out in groups”. the Messenger told him, “You have asked something important and great.” and then his eyes began to shed tears. He said:

“The groups that will rise after the blowing of the trumpet will consist ten from my Ummah whom God will separate from the groups of Muslims. One group will be that of the people who look like monkeys and they will be those who were vile in their words and curiosity. The second group will consist of people who will look like pigs and these will be the people with unlawful wealth. One group will be hanged upside down and this will consist of those who practiced usury. One group will be that of the blind and they were the ones who were oppressive in justice. One group will be that of the deaf and dumb they were those who were proud and vain in their deeds; One group of people will be seen chewing their tongues and these will be the Ulema and orators in whose speech and deeds were contrasting; one group will come with severed hands and legs and these will be the people who hurt their neighbors. Another group will be hung on the branches of fire in Hell and these will be the people who tattled and the unjust kings; one group will consist of those who will reek worse then rotting bodies and these will be the people who were immersed in lust and never gave God His dues in their deeds. At the end will come a group of people wearing dresses of inflammable material and the dresses will be pasted to their bodies and these will be the people who were vain and proud.(2)
