The Day of helplessnessThe Day when the unjust will bite his hands

This des c r i p tion tells us about another aspect of the Great Day. Verse 52 of Surah Mumin says:

“The Day when the excuses shall not benefit the unjust ones, and for them there shall be a curse; they shall have an evil abode.”

One of the ways to avoid punishment in this world is to make excuses or to repent but On the Day of Judgment the situation will be such that no excuse of the unjust will be accepted because it will be the time for the reward for bad deeds and not for excuses which itself would be a deed.

We have read in the previous verses that they will not be allowed to make excuses on that Day and even if they did so the excuses will not be granted. So their end is curses and an evil abode.

The message for all is that today the repentance may be able to wash away the sins.

The rights of the oppressed restored may help so we should take advantage of this or else no excuse will be granted in the Great Court and will remorse and no amount of wailing be of any help.
