The Day when no person shall have any power to help another.
A Day when no father can help his son.
One of the way to escape punishment in this world is that some one else takes the blame and place himself in the place of the accused. Pay the fine imposed and bears the punishment.
These are the lucid des c r i p tions of the Day of Judgment. Qura’n declares that such things are not possible in the great court of God. Each person is responsible for his doings. He will take the punishment for his deeds and pay the fine for them.
The first des c r i p tion has come two verses 48 and 123 of Surah Baqarah and it says:
“Fear the Day when a person shall not help another”
The same meaning is present in verse 19 of Surah Infitar with a little difference and says:
“It will be a Day when no person shall have the power to help another”
The third is verse 33 of Surah Loqman that says:
“Fear the Day when no father can help his son or a son helps his father.”
The relationship of the father and son is based on love and the son with his father on respect and love. These are the two closest relationships between people but the horrors of the Day of Judgment will be so great and heart wrenching that these relationships shall cease to exist and everyone will look after himself.
Some commentators have explained that “La Tajri” actually means “La taghni” which means will not make needless. (1)
