The Zoroastrians The Japanese

The Chinese too expressed their belief in the life after death. Will Durant says that they were promised the help of their gods and the reward of Paradise in their religion. The god “Amitaba” was regarded as the god of Paradise. (1) (This god may be referring to some angel)

In another place we read that the souls of those who died a natural death are regarded as special and if they have been righteous then through, gifts, sacrifices and other rituals they may slowly attain the elevated status of a lesser god (angel?) (2)
